Clubs and Extracurricular Activities

Participation in clubs and activities helps students develop a sense of camaraderie and make friendships based on common interests. We encourage students to get involved and have some fun while they learn new skills.

Current Club Offerings

Archery
Archery meets regularly to prepare for our annual archery tournament. This club is only open to students in third, fourth, and fifth grades.

Book Club
Book club meets monthly to study selected novels and participate in literature-related activities.

Kiwanis K-Kids - Young Leaders Helping Others
K-Kids is a service club for elementary-age students, led by elementary students. It teaches the value of helping others by taking part in school and community service projects and club activities. K-Kids participate in fundraising projects, live core values (caring, inclusiveness, leadership, and character building), and practicing service leadership. K-Kids meets the first Monday of every month unless otherwise informed until 4:30 p.m.

Math Bowl
Our math bowl team is comprised of students in grades four through six. Our team begins practicing in December to prepare for the annual math bowl competition in March.

Robotics Club
Our robotics club is for fourth and fifth grades. Students design and build robots to take to local competitions in this club.

Running Club
Running club is open to all North Vernon students. We’re staying fit and having fun running!

Spell Bowl
Fourth through sixth graders meet weekly during the first semester of school to prepare for our district-wide spelling competition. We select Spell Bowl team members with a spelling test in the early fall.

Student Council
Student council is a group of fifth and sixth grade students who develop leadership by being good role models. This group promotes public relations and good citizenship through community service projects. We meet monthly.
